Ric Flair Faces Cancer Challenge Again at 75

At 75 years old, Ric Flair, one of the most iconic figures in professional wrestling history, has announced that he will once again face a battle with skin cancer. The legendary Nature Boy, a two-time WWE Hall of Famer, recently revealed that he will begin treatment next week after keeping the news private for some time.
“This is the second time in three years that I’ve been dealing with skin cancer,” Flair said in an exclusive interview with People magazine. The announcement comes after weeks of rumors that were initially denied by the wrestler himself, who chose to keep the matter private until he felt the time was right to share it with the public.
Ric Flair’s journey outside the ring has been marked by significant medical challenges. In 2017, he faced a near-fatal health scare when he suffered kidney failure and came close to congestive heart failure, the result of years of alcohol abuse. Even so, Flair once again proved his resilience, returning to the spotlight and even participating in his farewell match in 2022, teaming up with Andrade to face Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett.
More recently, Flair appeared on the May 17 edition of AEW Collision, where he paid a heartfelt tribute to former NFL player and fellow wrestler Steve “Mongo” McMichael.
Despite the challenges, Ric Flair’s fighting spirit remains unshaken. His story is one of triumph, adversity and inspiring comebacks, and now once again he finds himself facing a new opponent outside the ring.
