Mr. Iguana States He Will Bypass NXT for WWE Main Roster

Following his recent appearances on WWE programming, Lucha Libre star Mr. Iguana has made some bold claims about his future with the company.

Mr. Iguana, who had a standout performance at the WWE x AAA Worlds Collide event and was recently featured in a video package on WWE Raw, spoke about his status in a new interview with Línea Directa TV.

In the interview to Línea Directa TV, Mr. Iguana claimed that WWE officials informed him that he would be bypassing the NXT development brand entirely and is scheduled to go directly to the main roster.

“I was in the Performance Center yesterday and they told me, ‘You’re not going through NXT — you’re heading straight to the main roster, They told me they need you here because your shirt is the top seller in WWE, and you’re also the fastest-rising star when it comes to action figures and trading cards,” he said.

While WWE has acknowledged him on television, an official date for his main roster debut has not yet been announced.
