Mercedes Moné to Make Long-Awaited Return on AEW Dynamite Following Major Title Wins

After weeks of silence, Mercedes Moné is set to make her highly anticipated return to All Elite Wrestling. AEW officially announced during this week’s episode of Collision that Moné will appear live on next Wednesday’s Dynamite, which will take place at the Wolstein Center in Cleveland, Ohio. The appearance marks her first on AEW television since her headline-grabbing match at AEW All In: Texas.

Moné, the reigning TBS Champion, has been absent from weekly programming since suffering the first loss of her AEW career. That defeat came at the hands of Toni Storm in a match for the AEW Women’s World Championship, a bout that took place on the company’s biggest stage of the year. Following that setback, Moné stepped away from the AEW spotlight, raising questions about her next move and whether she would bounce back with the same momentum that fueled her early success in the promotion.

Despite the silence within AEW, Moné’s presence has continued to grow far beyond the borders of the company. In fact, her time away from American television has only amplified her influence across the global wrestling scene. Competing internationally, Moné recently participated in a high-profile Winner Takes All match at a Prime Time Wrestling event in Koszalin, Poland. There, she emerged victorious over Diana Strong to capture not one, but two major titles — becoming the first-ever Prime Time Wrestling Women’s Champion and the inaugural BestYa Wrestling Women’s Champion in the process.

These two new additions to her growing collection of gold elevate Moné’s total to eight active championships across various promotions. Once known as “6 Belts Moné,” the self-proclaimed “CEO” now proudly refers to herself as “8 Belts Moné,” a moniker she fully embraced with a confident message posted on X, formerly known as Twitter. “See y’all next week @AEW and you better say hello to your #CEO 8 Belts Moné,” she wrote shortly after AEW’s official announcement.

Her return could not come at a more intriguing time. With Toni Storm preparing for a high-stakes match against Athena at Forbidden Door, speculation is swirling about what Moné’s next steps will be. Will she confront Storm about their previous encounter or shift her focus toward reclaiming dominance in the women’s division? Athena, who confirmed the match with Storm during Collision, also represents a major name that Moné may target, given their history on the independent scene and overlapping trajectories in AEW.

While AEW has not released details about what Moné will address during her appearance, her timing, accolades, and commanding presence suggest that her return will not be a quiet one. Her international accomplishments have only added to her reputation as one of wrestling’s most decorated performers, and her presence on Dynamite next week could set the tone for a major shift in the women’s division.

As anticipation builds, all eyes will be on Cleveland next Wednesday night. Whether she arrives seeking redemption or revolution, Mercedes Moné’s return promises to shake up the AEW landscape once again.
